Tyler's Troops can pin where they're sending their birthday wishes from!

Tyler is a 6-year-old bright, bubbly, funny little guy with a heart of gold. He loves anything to do with firefighters, law enforcement, EMS/EMT's and the military. He also loves race cars, motocross and motorcycles. He loves video games and playing with his toys. He also loves baseball, especially the Boston Red Sox and his local Pawtucket Red Sox! His favorite color is orange. He lives a happy life with his mother, father and little sister Lariah. He also has a big sister Keara! Tyler is just like any other typical little boy. He also happens to have cancer.
Tyler was first diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia (ALL) when he was just 3-years-old, in June 2, 2010. He went through numerous bouts of chemo treatment and the first week of July 4, 2012, his treatment ended. It was an optimistic and exciting time! On August 16, 2012, Tyler was officially CANCER FREE! It was a fantastic and euphoric day. On November 20, 2013, Tyler's mother Rachel heard the words no Cancer Mom ever wants to hear: "Your child has relapsed." The next day treatment started again.
While this is Tyler's second battle with this monster, we are optimistic. With everything he's been through he still keeps on smiling. :)
Tyler's 7th birthday is approaching on March 6th and his wish is to receive some cards from his heroes! We would like to surprise him with as many birthday cards from civilian and military law enforcement, firefighters and first response personnel. Let's make the best day of his life!

Smile - Pass it on!
To add your pin just visit http://tracyconstantine.wordpress.com, click on the map and add your own pin. Follow the instructions and in the final step, be sure to type the code from the card, your name and who gave you the card. Also include any thoughts such as your experience or feelings when receiving or giving.
This is meant to be family friendly and fun! Keep visiting to see where your card travels next. Thank you for your participation. And remember to Smile and Pass It On!

Icing Smiles is a nonprofit organization that provides custom celebration cakes and other treats to families impacted by the critical illness of a child. We understand that the simple things, like a cake, are luxuries to a family battling illness. Our goal is to create a custom cake for the ill child, or their sibling, that provides a temporary escape from worry and creates a positive memory during a difficult time.
On average, it costs us approximately $500 annually to operate in each state. This amount reflects the cost of our business registrations, promotional materials to be made available to medical families, and providing tax documentation for to our baking partners. These costs are not optional, but represent the bare minimum we must incur to operate. Our State Sponsorship Program is designed as a way to help cover those costs while recognizing generous donors. Each state that is sponsored will receive special attention from the Icing Smiles team to establish the proper non-proï¬t and hospital relationships to utilize the volunteer base in the state.
The State Sponsorship is a $500 annual renewable gift that can be made by an individual, group, or small business. In addition to acknowledgement here, we will recognize state sponsors on our facebook map and on the state specific Pinterest board on our Pinterest page.
This map reflects active sponsorships. If your state is not currently sponsored and you would like to discuss becoming a sponsor, please contact our Development Manager at development@icingsmiles.org.
